Salamanca’s Fair has its origins in the agricultural fair that was celebrated in the past, during the month of September, in the "Teso de la Feria", next to the Roman Bridge, on the left bank of river Tormes. The Virgin of the Vega, has been the patroness of Salamanca for centuries.
